Propanol ->Pentanol

Hallo,
ich hätte mal eine Frage:
Aus 1-Brom-1-Propanol wird über Umwege 2-Hydroxy-Pentanol hergestellt.
Ich weiß nur dass am Schluss noch irgend ein Stoff hydrolysiert wird und dann komm 2-Hydroxy-Pentanol raus...
Irgend eine Idee?
